
Outdoor Leadership Experience "For Students"
Mission: To provide an outdoor experience that challenges students to work as a team, to be creative in problem solving, and to teach the fundamentals of leadership.
Who is it for? This experience would benefit elementary, middle, and high school classes, clubs, student government associations, teams, etc.
What we offer:
Low Ropes: Our low ropes course and initiatives range from ground level to 3 feet in the air using cable, wood, trees, and rope. Led by Cedar Grove trained facilitators, these different events are designed to help your students:
- learn the importance of effective communication
- develop strategies to solve problems
- work together successfully as a team to achieve a common goal
- discover the skills that are needed to be an effective leader
- gain respect for other individuals’ unique abilities
- have fun and enjoy building relationships with one another
High Ropes: The High Ropes Course offers an unforgettable experience for every participant. Led by trained Cedar Grove Facilitators, the three hour session offers: a climb up the 32' climbing wall, a complete training in ground school, four high rope elements, and to cap it all off a ride on the "Giant Swing”. The High Ropes Course is designed to help your students:
- realize the importance of personal responsibility
- understand the value of accountability
- learn the significance of effective communication
- encourage others to complete their goals
- go beyond personal fears and challenges
Costs: Low Ropes and Initiatives - $10 per person (3 hour session)
High Ropes Course - $20 per person
Both High and Low Ropes - $25 per person
Schedule: Whether it is during or after school, Cedar Grove staff will work with you to provide the best time for your students to come.
